CRDCU Hosts Technical Retreat To Assess Ministerial Deliverables

The Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU) recently held a technical retreat for Delivery Managers and Sector Experts to assess the implementation of ministerial deliverables under the eight priority areas of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. The retreat focused on reviewing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Quarter assessments of 2024 to ensure alignment with national goals. 

Addressing participants, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination & Head of CRDCU, Hadiza Bala Usman, described the retreat as a platform to evaluate progress, address challenges, and refine strategies for effective delivery. She emphasised the role of Delivery Managers and Sector Experts in translating the President’s vision into measurable outcomes that improve the lives of Nigerians. The insights generated during the retreat will guide upcoming engagements with Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, and top ministry officials. 

The first day of the retreat focused on assessing ministerial performance in areas such as reforming the economy, strengthening national security, and unlocking energy and natural resources for sustainable development. Discussions centered on identifying challenges, measuring progress, and recommending strategies for better results. 

On the second day, attention shifted to key areas like infrastructure and transportation, education, health, social investment, industrialisation, digitisation, and governance. Participants evaluated the performance of ministries overseeing these sectors, with an emphasis on aligning outcomes with the administration’s vision for sustainable development and inclusive growth. 

The retreat provided an opportunity for participants to review performance, propose targeted interventions, and strengthen collaboration. The Special Adviser urged participants to maintain professionalism and objectivity, noting the high expectations of Nigerians. 

By fostering synergy and refining delivery mechanisms, the retreat aimed to ensure that ministries remain focused on achieving tangible results that advance national development and improve governance.
